in July. It gets pretty darn hot, but we just plan on beach and pool time during the hottest parts of the day. The gulf is warm - you don't even need to towel off after coming out. There is often an afternoon rainshower. We usually head in at that time and get ready to dine out.

Rates are a lot cheaper and the restaurants are not as busy. My husband and I both teach and getting to the islands is about impossible for us during the school year. We enjoy going in the summer.
