Jacqueline,
Welcome to the message board. Please remember that you are not alone. Many of the people who post here and/or have graduated from SSH have been right where you are now before entering the program. Most of them really wanted to make a big change and felt they couldn't do it on their own. We have all discussed, with each other, how scary it was to take that first step, and then later, the absolute relief that we did take it.
The common element that we all share was wanting, desperately, not only, to have our lives back, but to do it without the suffering that cravings cause, so we could get on with the things we really wanted to accomplish.

Please read as much of this board as you can, even the topics you feel don't apply to yourself. You may be surprised.

We all know the tough decision you are facing. We've been there. But, we also know how great it feels to take the leap and utilize this unique program and get through it. Last year SSH graduated close to 1000 people. Probably 90% of those people did the Duffy's. They made it through. And like Tammy said, they were glad they did. I know I am, and I was sooo scared. But, I made it through, and I feel great, and have been getting on with my life with great success. It is well worth the effort, and well worth those Duffy's.

The other great thing about going into the program is realizing how great the people that are attending the program are, and also realizing you are one of those people too. The self-esteem booster is incredible. It may be hard to believe, but some of the folks posting here, even, were really not feeling good about themselves, and came away from the program with a renewed ability to understand their true worth.

Tammy is a great person to talk to. She is a star. And I'm sure she can tell you her circumstances. While they were her own, they were not atypical and she came out with a very positive attitude. She's very understanding and accepting.

Feel free to write to any grad. They are all great to talk to and have all different stories, and all feel great now.

GOod luck Jacqueline. We're all pulling for you!
Nanette
