Subject: HBO 14 part ADDICTION series 3/15/07 - free preview wkend for cable users

Dear Nanette,

It's just been one week since Join Together, Community Anti-Drug
Coalitions of America (CADCA), and Faces & Voices of Recovery
announced our partnership with HBO to promote ADDICTION and help
communities mobilize around it.

Thousands of people have already told us that they plan to watch
the show, spread the word, or get involved in local organizing
efforts. Here at CADCA's National Forum in Washington D.C. this
week, scores of people are coming up to the AddictionAction.org
booth and telling us how excited they are about ADDICTION and
the national campaign being launched in communities across
America.

HBO's ADDICTION is part of a 14-part series that will air during
a free HBO preview weekend. It kicks off with a March 15
broadcast of ADDICTION at 9 p.m. EST. Don't have HBO? Many local
cable providers are opening the signal and making HBO free

It's a simple equation: the more people who watch ADDICTION and
start talking about actions they can take in their own
community, the farther we'll transmit the hope of treatment and
the reality of recovery. Watching the show is only the first
step toward making recovery a reality for even more Americans,
but it's an important one.

- Attend a town hall meeting to view a preview screening of the

and discuss HBO's ADDICTION with friends, co-workers, or elected
