I'll use the one I was planning on using for my character's rpg, just simply because I based his personality off mine, along with his history -- I'll attach the relevant info:

History: Lucas' home life has always been average. His parents never really paid attention to him, but since he'd never known the opposite, it didn't affect him in a negative way. His brother got all his parents' affections and love since he was younger. This led to some problems of jealousy which dissipated over time, but also produced his distaste for signs of affection. He never knew the pleasure of receiving hugs or kisses from loved ones, so associated those actions with negative effects, until he learned to avoid them. Early on, he was very trusting, especially to his friends, telling them whatever he felt was important. However, he found himself betrayed several times (tattle-telling when he was younger, and more recently rumors spread about his sexuality). This is mainly what led to his trust issues. After an impromptu suicide attempt, he was forced to talk with a psychologist, so he started trying to work out his problems, but is still struggling with them.

Peronality: Lucas is somewhat shy, but can still open up around people he trusts. This, however, poses a slight problem: Lucas is VERY untrusting. That's not to say he doesn't interact, quite the opposite, he does - but serious conversations will never revolve around him. In fact, even after years of friendship, most will find that they know little of his personality. This shows itself in several important points about Lucas:
-) He is deathly afraid of prolonged contact with another human, and will avoid it at all costs. Anything from simple bumps while walking in a crowded place to hugs or holding hands or anything. So, because it makes him so uncomfortable, has gotten quite good at avoiding it. Only allows his very closest friends extended contact.
-) Avoids fights or confrontations at all costs, even arguments. As such, he is skilled at manipulating a conversation or avoiding a fight. And if a fight does seem imminent, he is not scared to turn tail and run, using his speed to get out of there.

With the extra developing into: Orphan develops the extra to shift people's attention anytime, and also the ability to become un-noticeable. This is rather like invisibility, since for all intents and purposes he's untrackable and noone can notice him, but he does not actually disappear from sight.

^^^so basically kinda like one of the existing characters, but still a bit different. Also, he got a boost to his running speed, but still can't compare to Chad's.
