As far as their rivalry, the way that I've approached it so far (Look for "GFD: Crossroads" in the near future!) has been a little bit different than the usual epic feud idea. It's not a huge acient war between species, even though they don't necessarily get along. In "Crossroads", the conflict comes more from the fact that vampires need a stable stationary place to stay and build a habitat (Like the vampires at the lot) where they'll be protected from sunlight and exposure, and the wolves have the need to completely spread out, claim, and dominate, territories of their own without any question. So when they spread into vampire country, that causes an upheaval between the two.
What wouldhappen if the species were to breed together? Well, I'm still working on that But I'd be interested to hear other ideas on this. Might be an awesome idea to pursue later on. :)
