I guess the question I have to ask is: do vampires stop learning/evolving once they cross over?

If they're capable of continuing to learn and grow mentally, then why not stay young forever? Looking back, 17 to 19 were the best years of my life. I'd love to go back there, or rather to just have stayed there.

If they become locked in their current mental capacity, then, yes, halflifes are a waste. If they can not learn any further, then they should wait until they are more self-aware before crossing over.

At the same time...stereotypes and prejudices are bad. Period. Granted, they often exist for a reason, but they're still a bad thing...socially speaking. Lumping someone into a catagory for something as trivial as physical appearance only forces one out of opportunities.

But again, if stereotypes exist for a reason, then one would do well to at least be cautious. Get to know the person before passing judgement.

Just my two cents...again.
