It depends on how I would handle being a vampire. If I couldn't handle it, and hated myself but not enough to kill myself, than I think I would never want to pull anyone into the world of darkness. If I would be 'fine' with it (as much as one can be with killing humans anyway) then I would assume that it wouldn't be such a bad thing to turn someone I love.

I definitely wouldn't give the dark gift to strangers, only to those who are dear to me. If the person would be unconscious, then I think I would try to guess from the person's personality if they could handle this kind of existence or not. Of course it's quite possible that my judgement would be clouded and I would be selfish enough to do anything in my power to keep my beloved with me, no matter the consequences. Even the guilt I'd feel would be much worse than the guilt I'd feel over killing humans, and of course it's sad to see when the person you love loses sanity, commits suicide, or hates you.

If someone I love would beg for it, i'd definitely do it. I'm almost sure I couldn't resist, even if I'd hate being a vampire.
Some think that if you turn someone into a vampire, all their victims become yours. I don't really believe in this, so if I wouldn't do it, it wouldn't be because I couldn't live with the additional guilt on my conscience.

I can only hope this makes some sense.
