Subject: Dark Question For 7/31

They're most commonly referred to, quite simply, as 'Readers'. A select group of vampires who have somehow, during their crossover, developed a certain sensitivity that allows the to read the minds of other vampires.

While vampires have no problem reading the minds of humans at will...there is a level of outrage directed at vampires who can read THEIRS. These individuals have been called 'mind thieves', even when they're trusted friends, and are treated as a threat to all they come into contact with. Why? Why is the ability to read another vampire's mind, explore their secrets, such a terrible curse among their species?

Then again...if you knew that there was someone close to you, that could probe the deepest darkest parts of your mind...would YOU want them around? Could you trust them NOT to see what was hidden inside?

What do you think?
