Sun and Moon have simular but different strengths but both should be viewed equally. Summer solstice means the Sun has reached the apex of manhood and is at his strongest and brightest at this point. Acient times and now the solstice still represents the same, but it just depends on how one culture celebrates these sabbats. I still believe in the old pagan ways of celebrating where some wiccan groups have either embraced the old ways and some groups have changed the old ways to make a different tradition. Yes, there is a special meaning to the summer soltice Or any other Sabbat in this case to the astrological year....life is forever flowing like a river, wheel of the year always turning, Seasons come and seasons go - cycle of life and death with much respect.
