Subject: What happens is when the recalls are finished and the results are ready, they announce the results in the main hall on a big screen. All of the competitors from the competition are in the audience. They then call them backstage to recieve their awards. This is why it may have appeared to you that the top 5 already knew their results, however the pictures were taken after the results had been announced to everyone. All of the competitors in the recall would have been backstage along with the top 5, however you may not have been able to see them in the photos.

How come they already know i rather think this is unfair on the competitors that do get the lower placers it would be degrading to them!   • As stated by the previous reply, the marks are displayed in numerical order by each adjudicator on a large screen. The dancers do not know until the final adjudicators marks are announced, which palce they get overall, unless however their marks are consistently good or bad. When marks are close it adds to the excitement as it can be hard to add up seven marks for two, three and more dancers in order to work out final placements. Tension can be mighty and many dancers don't celebrate their win until final placings are displayed on the screen. Dancers then have five or ten minutes to compose themselves and make their way sidestage for presentation of awards. (NT) -- No one knows results in advance., 13:36:29 12/04/07 Thu
