Subject: This is what our dog went through

Our dog was border line renal kidney failure. She was drinking SO MUCH water and shedding like crazy. She wasn't a breed that shed so it was very alarming. This tipped us off to Nutro which is the only food we had fed her for years. I remember Nutro had changed the ingredients a few years ago (for the worse) because right after the bag changed, the menu foods recall hit and all these dogs starting dying and fighting for their lives. This is the same junk food formula they are still selling. They never went back to basics! We gave our dog Pedialyte. Our vet told us to. This was after she was at the vet and given IV fluids. Once she came home, we got Pedialyte clear orignal flavor off the baby aisle at the grocery store and poured it in her water bowl daily. She bounced back. While this illness took a toll on her and we lost her way early than we should have, it bought us a couple of good years with her. She had stopped drinking so much. They even have a form of Pedialyte off brand at the dollar store. You can try that or ask your vet about it. We wish your fur baby a swift recovery. SO HAPPY you got off Nutro!
