It is just awsome that your mom lets you smoke, and you can smoke while babysitting too. It makes babysitting more enjoyable and less stressful. Like you I probably smoke more while I am babysitting, but I also smoke more if I'm at a party or if I'm studying for exams or whatever. But it sounds like you have it on a good level. You enjoy it but it isn't controling you either.

In the times I have had to discipline a child with spanking, I found it somewhat stressful, but I also found it to be very effective. I felt good about it in the sense that I was solving one little problem in a world full of problems. After one or more spankings the children were usually much better behaved than those I couldn't spank.

Do you specifically threaten spankings even if you don't actually do it? Sometimes that's good enough to get a kid in line. If you do have to spank again, do you think you'd smoke a cigarette before or during the spanking? I have one friend who has a son, and when he needs a spanking she lights up as a matter of routine and keeps the cig in her mouth while she does it, which makes her drag really hard. Her son hates it, but I guess that's what makes it effective.
