the answer is yes and NO.. Nicotine is auctually a stimulant, and as such should tend to make you nervous and jittery, (and will if you are new to it) But once you are used to it it does calm you as you are getting nervous and jittery missing it, thus when you do receive it it feel's ooooohh so good. The best choice is to never find out how it affects you, but it's a bit to late for that now. If you are lucky you could keep your smoking under control at just a few (less than 5) a day. That might be a bit tough for you to read but if you can get through it you'll have a very good understanding of how smoking works in your brain.
