No son las mujeres trans las que no deben competir en un Miss U; es la fealdad de cualquier mujer, o la fealdad masculina de algunas mujeres trans, la que no debería estar en un concurso de belleza de mujeres biológicas de importancia. La mujer trans que es atractiva y femenina, bienvenida sea. La trans Miss Machete de Portugal no es una Dayanara Torres, ni una Oxana, ni una Jennifer Hawkins, pero es mucho más linda y femenina que ex Miss Universo andróginas como Shawn Weatherly y Zozibini Tunzi, o la misma Kwegalope. Así como hay mujeres dentro de la heterosexualidad, también hay mujeres dentro de la comunidad LGBTQ+. Nacer hembra es biología; ser e identificarte como mujer es una construcción social.
