[> I dont agree with those either....Some Pageants Have "Supreme, Mini, and Beauty, etc." Queens, in Each Division! Not to mention the "Ultimate Grand Supreme"....So why can't the Reigning Queen recompete to try for a higher title?? I also Think that as long as the Mom is not in the way of or distracting the Judges she can coach her DD at any age!!!! -- Anonymous, 16:55:06 10/30/07 Tue [1]

[> If they don't get enough contestants they probably cancel, but they should refund your deposits right away if you want them back. -- Anonymous, 18:11:06 10/30/07 Tue [1]

[> It is an expensive decision to have to cancel a pagnt. Directors have reserved production company, an MC, the ballroom, and promised the hotel ther would be X amount of guests. She still has to pay for those things. -- Anonymous, 09:52:02 11/06/07 Tue [1]

[> [> Your right. That is hard to do without losing a ton of money. I don't know the answer for that other than taking deposits for a certain date and if you don't get them cancel right away. The moms make it hard when they wait till the last minute to enter. A director dosen't know what to do. No one wants to lose that much money. The bigger pageants can because they know they will have enough contestants in. Some new director wanting to put on a good pageant system can't depend on them and that is why they are stuck with the pageants they have now and complaining all the time about it, but still go hoping this will be their year, Right? -- Anonymous, 10:08:50 11/06/07 Tue [1]

[> [> [> A lot of moms would probably pay sooner if the directors didn`t determine where you are in the lineup based on when you send in your deposits. We try to avoid being the first one to send it in so we wont be the first in the lineup. If they would just draw #`s when you get to the pageant then there would be more moms sending it in early. -- Anonymous, 17:18:48 11/06/07 Tue [1]

[> As a director I have done the alphabetical concept in the past. 1 year I started with the a's, then the next year I started with the z's then went back to a's the following year. How many moms like this idea? As I am willing to do this for my upcoming nationals. RBI -- Anonymous, 10:28:52 11/07/07 Wed [1]

[> [> [> I think drawing the number during registration is a good idea. Everyone has the same chance at the spot they want. If they don't get what they want its not your fault. -- Anonymous, 07:22:04 11/08/07 Thu [1]

[> [> I would DEFINITATELY do a "first in/last out" line-up. The first ppw and full payment you have in hand gets to be the last out. Those who register latest are first in the line up. That seems VERY fair to me, and makes moms feel like they at least have SOME control over their dd's spot in line. -- Anonymous, 16:12:15 11/08/07 Thu [1]

[> What about directors who have a photo contest (ci) -- Anonymous, 14:54:20 11/11/07 Sun [1]

for fees off and then cancel the pageant. I think they should return the entry fee. I entered a PC a few years ago and won a free entry to the pagent but the pageant was never held. So I entered the PC for nothing.
