Subject: We have done the "starter" pageants before and some of them are still as off pace as the bigger pageants...not all pageants are bad, but where we live you have to know somebody to win...either the right coach, h/m person, director, etc...the judges are even pageant moms that know the girls! They travel from one pageant to another and they don't judge fairly. The judging aspect of the pageants is the number one concern of mine!
In reply to: 's message, "The post here all pertain to national pageants. All contestants start somewhere. Your website should have pages listed by states with different sections for local, prelim, state and national pageants. All the glitz and nationals scare off newbies. I believe we would all have more contestants if moms realized there were small natural or glitz pageants where their dd could begin. Parents who are prefer natural to glitz would know about ALL pageants close to them and not just the big ones. There are many beautiful girls out there who don't want to be fake so they stay out of pageants. Let them see there are still some pageants out there that don't allow this. Most girls who begin with natural pageants and learn to "LOVE" it, all move to glitz sooner or later. Give them a chance to know there is stiull a "starting place" for them." on 12:43:50 11/11/07 Sun

[> I think the club is just talking about all pageants in general. The smaller ones can advertise here too if they have at least half of the rules, and send a certain size banner in. Plus they will be on the PFFP Club website too. -- Anonymous, 13:40:38 11/11/07 Sun [1]
