That is good news. Strange how things work out, to be now thinking you are lucky to be taking a pay cut! Hopefully the new company will be a better place to work as well.

as for my job prosepects, after all my applications i got one who requested I do an online aptitude test, which I did well on. they then emialed me to say, well done, you are through to a day one series of tests and interviews. They required me to go to their web site and sign in. I went there and couldnt remember the password i had used. It ended blocking me out, with a sign saying we cannot remind you of your password, you must remember it. And thats it! Blown it!
I was really upset with myself for 24 hours, but, as my friends keep telling me, it wasnt meant to be. I personally find that hard to accept. My one chance messed up by my own stupidity.

And so the search goes on. My present company is sold this Friday. I will work for the new company for part of next week..but they still dont know how many days or hours they want me for. Then, thats it.
