I waited to hear from any of you before the end of working hours yesterday, but none of you answered.
I didn't know how to reply to his e-mail (the GM's) and I thought it would be rude if I didn't reply...
I kept writing and deleting .. I wrote that I was already reconsidering my decision then deleted it, and then I wrote something like "if you’re sure you are staying I would feel secure enough to stay" then deleted it.. Then, I sent a reply that is very lame, I think... I just wrote "I am really thankful for your attention and consideration" that's all... do you think that was a stupid reply?

I really appreciate your replies, Tom and Michael, your thoughts had a cooling effect on mine.. they made me think a little bit more clearly, although it is still difficult for me to decide, but it is a bit easier and clearer now. I am more inclined towards going to the new job.

I especially found logic in these two statements:

- "plus, your GM only decided to show appreciation after you've resigned"
Yes, Tom, you're right.. I should have noticed.

- " I would want strong reasons to go back on my word - purely because i always suspect bad things are more likely to happen if I do."

I'm usually like that too.. but I don't know, suddenly I felt I was not treated fairly.. I learned that another employee from my current job has moved to the new firm and guess what.. they gave him a raise on his current salary.. about 5%. Maybe that's why I felt I have a right to reconsider.. Like I felt that I was making concessions right from the beginning, and that wouldn't make me gain any value or it will diminish my chances of improvement.

But, you know Michael... you're right
- "Whatever you decide will be the best, because it will be what you feel most comfortable with....and then its God's Will"

You're just right
