Subject: That brings all new meaning to the nursery rhyme, 'There Was a Crooked Man!' I agree with Marilyn - lovely but also eery. Especially this part: This is more curse than gift, for if you can see me, let me assure you, I will come to you. I can sure see Jamie dictating this! If anyone can flit back and forth between the cracks, it would be him.
In reply to: celtgirl 's message, "Here's something I've been working on lately- well, a few weeks back anyway. This is one of those things that comes up out of the creative cauldron I keep in the back of my head, that makes me think I ought to screw that pot lid down a little more tightly. :) It actually does fit into the overall story, and is one of those stories dictated to me by Jamie>>>>" on 10:50:54 04/14/10 Wed

  • Good Goddess, woman, but that sent shivers up and down my spine. Reading the piece where Jamie explains who the Crooked Man is did make me wonder if it's not a personification of his depression, it's the darker part of himself which he sometimes simply cannot defend against and which in a strange way makes him whole -- the dark aspect to his light self which attracts animals etc. (NT) -- Carla, 17:33:17 04/14/10 Wed
  • I really see the Crooked Man as an 'outer' manifestation of Jamie's manic depression- and his way in his younger years of trying to come to grips with his condition. So same thing you said, essentially. (NT) -- celtgirl, 18:27:35 04/14/10 Wed
