It's a huge sacrifice on her part. Not sure how Casey will think on it. Not just the sleeping with Hagerty, but the lying and deception that was necessary to undertake the task. I don't expect him to have a rational detached view of this situation at all. I'm just going to have to keep reading to find out what happens next. I have to say upon the 1st read through of this book, my sympathies lie more heavily with Casey than with Pamela. He's being cuckolded (everyone in town seems to know Pamela's screwing Hagerty), and someone is still trying to kill him. -- Cindy's Cottage

I don't think Love could be brought down any other way - obviously whatever the feds tried in the past hasn't worked so this may be the last resort.
