If it were my kid, they would be watching it. I'm not concerned that they are going to be brainwashed by a presidential speech. *eye roll*

There are far worse things going on in the education system than this. But holy moly, we can have a big ol' bipartisan poo party about this and let the media frenzy begin.

The President is going to be making a speech to encourage students to do their best in school and achieve their goals. And this is grounds for protest, why?

I always encouraged my two sons to watch Presidential addresses, no matter who was in office. And then we had a discussion about how they viewed it. I think this is a great chance for students to hear directly from their President and then have a discussion on civics, government, and the importance of education.

I personally pity any parent who considers this some kind of mind-control attempt. They must truly keep their children in a bubble!
