I know a little something about the situation in NY. I'm a New Yorker and I live in Kirsten Gillibrand's congressional district. Many New Yorkers were not thrilled with Caroline Kennedy's candidacy for Hillary's senate seat, but almost everyone seems to be outraged at Gov. Paterson's treatment of her. People close to Paterson went out of their way to trash CK AFTER she had withdrawn her name from consideration. Check the NY papers to see the reaction to this situation. Paterson is toast in the next gov. election and his lame semi-apologies haven't helped.

which show has someone I want to see as a guest/musical guest and watch those parts. My preference in late night talkies is actually Jimmy Kimmel. Leno and Letterman have both become repetitive in their monologues and gags. If I don't have work the next day, I sometimes check out Craig Ferguson, or Conan if he has Triumph the Insult Comic Dog on (otherwise, Conan annoys me). I hold Jon Stewart above the rest though and don't include him in that late-night talk show category LOL!
