Subject: Joy. That's the word for it...

and I know it's hard for our friends on the right, but I believe we have elected a good man as president. And I was moved to tears by the scenes all over the country of people rejoicing, and by Obama's speech. He won't always be as popular as he is now, and we have a lot of problems to be solved, but for now, I feel joy.

I voted my conscience, as did all of you. I really hope this works out like all of you think it will. I am going to follow the lead of John McCain in his gracious concession speech last night and put my country first, as he has all of his life.

I promise no hate speech. I ask that you all do the same. I have always believed that hatred does the most damage to the person who holds the hatred.

There is no doubt that the youth and charisma of Obama and his family will be inspirational for us all. I pray that his decisions will be the right ones.

keeps is his promise to reach out to those who didn't vote for him and to be a president for all of us. He won't be perfect, nobody is; and we can't expect miracles, but I am very hopeful that he will be a great president. I hope you will give him a chance. And yes, John McCain gave a gracious and dignified concession speech. I am glad he will remain in the senate.

I thought McCain's speech was great.

I still think he could have pulled this off with a different running mate and a more moderate position like he had in 2000 and 2004. I very much believe he would have made a better president in 2000 than Bush has been for the last 8 years.
