Yes, you got the "C" correct!! Use more underruffles to get a much fuller skirt, the my pageant kid patterns are a bit out of date, you use more underruffles than "C"s for the really full skirts that are used now. -- "Sew help me...!"

doing the roll hem takes practice!! put the fishline through the "roll" on the foot, then put the edge of the fabric under the foot and guide it through the roll. You have to put tension of the fabric holding front and back of the fabric to keep it going as a "roll" through the foot to create the curl... the more tension you have on the fabric the better the curl will be.

You add "fabric medium" to the apple barrel paint and heat set it to dye fabric. One bottle of medium to 2 bottles of paint with a gallon of water. Most people heat set in the dryer, but it makes a GIANT mess..... babywipes and muscle work well to clean up the paint in the dryer.. LOL

Thank you! Im hoping my foot will come today. I have a TON of extra fabric to practice with before I use what I want to make my skirt with. My ODDs LLD skirt has 2 underruffles and two top layers. Her previous CF had 2 under and 2 top so I'ma start with that. Im so excited! Because of my first frustration, Ive been trying to BUY skirts. lol. But, now, I may finally be able to do them myself. One more question, though. Using MPKs pattern, how many Cs make 1 layer? Today, Im going to boil the fishing line for tighter curls. - If you cut the fabric on a bias, it will curl tight with tension on the fabric. I have tried the roll and boil when I first started and found that process broke down the fishline and didn't give a consistant curl.
