1. Robert Johnson was being faustian when he made the deal with the devil because Johnson was sacrificing spiritual values in order to gain musiacal talent.

2. Hoodoo is encoded passages of Creole work songs, as well as an unknown number of time-lost styles that were unceremoniously dumped with the shackles of slavery. This fits with Robert Johnson's music because he encorporated aspects of the music that became mainstream. The music that he grew up with had a huge influence on him, and Robert Johnson had a huge influence on music and the future of music.

3. The tale of how Robert Johnson selling his soul to the Devil in order to become successful if a definate metaphor for all musicians, both aspiring and successful.I think this because sacrafices always have to be made to become successful. For Robert, he sold his soul, for some other musician, selling their soul could mean signing a contract that you have to sign, no matter how unfair; or maybe even leaving a loved one behind. Depending on the situation, there will always be a price one has to pay in order to "make it big" in the music industry.

4. I would probably wait for success in my career, whatever it may be, that way I could make it big and do all the things I've ever dreamed of.
