Just by reading your comments, I can tell that you are the young and inexperienced one! I hope that you don't interview or type your "bio" like this! Who begins a sentence with lower-case letters, doesn't use commas properly, and calls people that voice their opinions, ignorant? I used to compete in pageants years ago, and competed for TWENTY years! I, along with my daughters, have held/hold numerous titles!!! You are probably the one who had no competitors in your pageant, and think that you know everything there is to know about pageants! Personally, I feel that the quality of festival queens has dramatically diminished over the years. Most of the girls that win pageants today, would NEVER in a millions years have even placed years ago! Interviews are so easy now! What happened to girls needing to smart, pretty, talented, and having to dress like a queen in public? What's up with the sloppy T-shirts, jeans, and messy hair now? Queens used to be required to be the total package. Now, directors are forced to take whatever they can get. Every pageant that I ever competed in had over twenty contestants, and a pageant would have been a joke if there were less than 10 contestants in each division! Bottom line...if a girl "nails" her interview, is attractive, and does well in other areas of competition, then that should be your queen! We need more intelligent girls out there!!!!!
