Dissecting every nuance of my memories
Every moment I hate to have to recall
Penchant is the moods that steal from me
Reverberations of hateful words cast
Empty and depleted from word wars
Slaying my already dying soul
Slicing my heart into ribbons
In your icy voice that still resounds
Over the cadence of my own reasoning
Never losing its grip entirely

I wonder when I�ll be free
Softly crying for release

And never seeming to find the key

Through the continuum of time and space
Heralds an angel with a message of hope
Inviting me to share in the bounty of love
Even when the echoes forbade I move on
From my self-imposed prison of �familiarity�

I appreciate all you do and all you contribute to the Motel so you can put your poems wherever the heck you want but, if truth be told this one should be here or the Form Poetry room.
