Of Shadow Things



Twilight smiles
as never before
in the gateway
of tomorrow's promise


she stands proud
in her forward vision
while the wake of
bad taste
and bad company
is left to flounder
in her dust


while the moon
gifts a wink
and a smile,
the soul shines
silken tender


so much love
all hers
all ours
all ways
just like granny time
had always said


she glows for you,
this moon child dancing,
and she sings
of shadow things
and heals their blistered tongues,
that they may know
the some day feel...
of their own light
