OK...I've read a lot on him and ran into school yearbook photos. It was said 1954 Collingswood was his senior year. Not bad if he was born 10/36 and failed 9th. grade. I think he graduated near the bottom of his class. He was a horrible student, but genius level IQ which showed in his film career. His javelin got him a scholarship in CA and then he messed up his arm. He did track in HS as well. Cool dude he was! Too bad he died so young.

Interesting what his elder sister wrote about them growing up. Lots of neat stuff to read. His mom was Irish Catholic, but with that Orowitz name, he faced the Jew thang big time. The smartest thing he did was change his name as many did to lose the enthic spotlight and discrimination in those days.
