Sunrise

I've seen a sunrise
for the first time
through these eyes

These eyes have lived
lonely lifetimes
in this head

This head, inside, a
chimera of
changing minds

Changing minds in
states of doldrums
and of dread

Of dread you've shed
the shackles of
ill tempered dreams

Tempered dreams shine
the sunrise of
your smile, I've seen

Max,

Read this a few times now.
It grew on me. I feel like
I feel like I picked up the
rythm on the last read.
I think much of your poetry
would work really well
vocalized. You do such a nice
job with line breaks and
assonics.

thanks,
andy

~ hiya Max, what a wonderful read this is

I love how each stanza bleeds into the next, and how it comes full circle again, back to the smile. Very nicely wrought, dear one

*hugs*

Sash xx
