Sunrise

I've seen a sunrise
for the first time
through these eyes

These eyes have lived
lonely lifetimes
in this head

This head, inside, a
chimera of
changing minds

Changing minds in
states of doldrums
and of dread

Of dread you've shed
the shackles of
ill tempered dreams

Tempered dreams shine
the sunrise of
your smile, I've seen
