Subject: Welcome to the Stooges forum!!

Welcome to the forum for discussion of the Stooges team. The topics are universally acceptable for Moe, Larry, Curly, and Shemp. Their career spanned from 1930 until 1975, with the movie shorts being the heyday ( 1934-59 ), totalling 190 short subjects. The later replacements such as Joe Besser and Joe De Rita are approved, which was at their later years in the act. The "Back " link on the forum goes to the main Stooges show list, which will take you to a page that contains my information on all 190 filmed shorts.

Discussion of Stooges films, trivia, memorabilia and anything that relates to the boys can be posted righ here.

Thanks and best,

Rick

Hi Rick. You have posted a great guide to the Stooges short subjects, informative and detailed. I recommend that everyone listen to an instrumental version of "Three Blind Mice" while browsing it, lol!

I am not familiar with all their short films, but I would rate "Disorder in the Court" as my personal favorite.

Tim

Some memories and a comment or two...........
No eye poking! No eye poking! In laughing at these guys do their antics, for me it was mostly from late fifties maybe, early sixties TV, AND Mrs. Torch in later decades saying almost the same things to Torch Jr. and his sister. In our circle of friends, there was a woman...a super fan and guru of all things Three Stooges. Sadly, she is no longer with us, but likely poking eyes with her beloved Stooges. Were she still here, this forum would be hopping. For me, sometimes they were a bit slapstick silly, other times hilarious, and there were always mixed opinions. A common denominator it seems among parents though was the eye poking thing. Also seems there was a like 'em or not crowd. For me, overall, they were funny...and yeah, when my small kids were around, I'd even sometimes go watch alone on a small TV with rabbit ears and a snowy pix, but got by fine. I didn't wind up becoming an eye poker. How 'bout you guys.
Seriously though, I thought these guys were funny, and recall that ABC show..think it might be on DVD somewhere. Enlighten me someone on a point. Was my understanding they rubbed a studio man the wrong way, and were limited to film shorts for most of their work. Hmm..think they made a couple longer works in much later days. Yes,no? Thanks
