I got my last spanking at home when I was 18 years old. I had stayed out until midnight one night with some friends and when I got home, my mom was really mad at me. She made me go to my room and came in a couple of minutes later carrying the wooden paddle she used to spank me. I had to bend over my bed and got 5 swats over my shorts. It hurt too. My mom spanked hard and would always wait a few seconds between swats. I was crying by the 3rd swat, and my bottom was still sore the next morning. Still, I knew I deserved it, since staying out late was not a safe thing to do.

I don't think there is anything wrong with parents spanking their kids until they leave home, if they feel like they need it. Of course sometimes older kids will ask to be spanked instead of some other punishment. I would frequently ask my mom to paddle me instead of being grounded. I knew it was going to hurt, but I knew that once the spanking was over, the slate was wiped clean.

My mom spanked hard, and I usually cried, but always felt better. Most of the time mom would only give me 3 swats, but sometimes I got more. If I got paddled at school I got double at home.
