Oh Dear Driver, you're gonna make me aren't you?

Set your 'Wayback Machine' for 2001. At this time I was already online friends with Driver, and as time progressed a few other characters who all enjoyed story-telling of one sort or another. Driver was at the time working on a Tome entitled 'The Quarry'. Now I will grant that perhaps one of the hooks for this story was that it was found on Nifty, and as a Rose on a dungheap, stood out. So I recruited him to post here.

The point is that it's irrelevant if Driver thinks himself an author, storyteller, yarn constructor or a fish story technician, he's entertaining and seems to connect us to people we feel we might know.

Also, as long time folks know, you only get here by invitation. Now I also grant that I have sent good stories on their way, and good authors. Driver has always been one of those I keep coming back to, one I encourage partly because I think it helps anyone to be encouraged but also because it's fun to read what he comes up with. It's so damn normal, it's so ineffably original in his portrayal of everyday folks doing everyday things, with his own unique (occasionally twisted) take on things.

Now, as to a site party or something...it's coming. I have recently recieved permission for some of my favoite things to come here, and am readying them, along with at least three new chapters of other things not mine, and I have something new from myself that I am frantically trying to polish up. ( I know, I know you can't polish a turd) so, SUNDAY!

Sunday will be the big post. I will try not to break the site in the meantime, but this project requires me to make new pages (shudder) and I'm trying to to screw it up. SO yes, big post, coming Sunday, get your reading glasses out...

Start spreading the news...like a bad penny...that 'family' you're forced to interact with on occasion...the company who doesn't realize it's long past time for them to go...or those nasty dead things that talk to littel girls through TV sets...

WEEEERRREE BAAAAAccckkk!
