I have broached this subject several times, in varying forums, in the past, and the response has been overwhelmingly positive. So perhaps there is a large population of boys (myself onetime included) for whom a traditional school environment (which can include bullying and an unwanted compulsion to play rough contact sports) doesn't work.

I think practical issues such as privacy within the school can be surmounted.

Boys learn overly aggressive behavior from external influences like movies and online games, and from alpha male role models like sports figures. Certainly a parent can control access to things like that, as well as exposure to male dominated social institutions that reinforce undesirable stereotypes.
