Wow! I don't know what to think. I've heard of it being tried here in the states, however I haven't heard of it being successful. I suppose that "feminizing" a young boy is quite different than realizing that the child is actually transgender as diagnosed by knowledgeable and experienced professionals, as in a pediatric gender clinic.
I never had any intention of "feminizing' my child ever, except when it became my realization that this has always been the case from the beginning, and when she had a "Meltdown" at the age of eleven. We then went to the professionals at the Lurie Children's hospital in Chicago for evaluation and treatment in their gender clinic which is patterned after the one at the Boston Children's Hospital which was developed by Dr. Norman Spack.
I expect that you've heard of him from the story "Becoming Nicole", by Amy Ellis Nut. In the case that you may not yet have read it, I highly recommend this wonderful book.

Cordially,

Michelle Stanwood
