Subject: Questions...

Hi all...I'm a widowed mom of 5 boys. However, my middle children who are 8 and 6 told me that they wish they were girls. It was a few months ago, but I never thought about it.
Last week, they asked me why they were born boys, but I gave them a quick answer, but didn't really answered their question. Today, they were in a fight at school, so they told me (when I picked them up from daycare) that they are being picked on by the boys and calling them sissy. It seems they weren't good at sports, so they talk to the girls.
Do you think I should see if they would be happier as girls. The daycare owner said they (including my oldest) like playing dressup and with dolls.

I've been reading the forum, but what would my in-laws say? we talk but they are distant, they don't really like me. (They are snobs). If I do it, could they threaten me for my kids? I want my kids NOT TO BE SNOBS, but I want them happy and right now it isn't.
