Hi Allison, I never entered my son in a girl's pageant way back in the 70's and 80's, but he's won a few womanless pageants and worn pageant dresses and outfits for Halloween many times. Until his hair was down to his shoulder blades when he was 14, we used wigs and falls just like a lot of pageant contestants today. Its amazing what an instant change in color, style and/or length will do to bring out their inner girl! I've helped him become a blonde barbie, raven starlet, brunette bombshell and auburn prom queen, each one spectacularly gorgeous! Of course, I am totally biased. We used his own hair much more after he grew it out and became a Brooke Shields clone, widow's peak, eyebrows and those wonderful curls and waves!
