Linda B: Like you, it is totally unexpected, however looking back, I knew Liz was unhappy as a boy. Unlike Ryan, Liz never was boyish, but I thought he would later grow into it. Of course, I was mostly trying to raise my kids, so I didn't think if Liz was a boy or a girl.
Dustin told me that being a single parent I couldn't see that Liz was not a boy. I felt I was a failure, but now, being a stay at home mom (who is never home, especially signing Ryan up for LaCrosse, Meg and Liz for soccer and Austin for flag football and Nick soccer, grocery shopping and doctor's appointment - for Liz), I see the changes in Liz and the others like me home, too.
We decided to homeschool for at least this year. Liz and Meg, found 4 girls in the neighborhood since we moved. Ryan met a few boys in the neighborhood, but one - according to Ryan - seems like a jerk.
Where did the summer go??
