Although most books and strategies discourage us to work with translation, when it comes to genre teaching strategies, it may be interesting. Granted that we won't overuse it or allow students to miss the main point!
The good think is that this may be a moment of discovery for them. Since they may be surprised with that fact that a 'word-by-word' translation may not be as effective as they normally think it is.
