I'm talking about anyone down there trying to "buddy" up to those guys. I say "ladies", but I see it in the guys, too. (puck buddies?)

Like, over-stepping the boundaries. Just because we know a lot about these guys and possibly think they're really cool or whatever doesn't really mean we're friends.
Any other stranger wouldn't warrant that sort of attention or doting.

You might not want the game to be over, but they do. They want to go eat and go home - after work. Like you do.

I can't imagine how I'd feel if I were expected to be available for discussion after every day at work...regardless of how I performed or how I feel.

I'm sure they can carry on conversations. That doesn't mean they want to. Lots of people can carry on conversations, but if they didn't play hockey, you wouldn't care.
I have this colleague at work who carries on very entertaining, thought provoking conversations, but I'm not going to wait outside his office to engage him in one for my personal delight.
