When things are going bad, not for just hockey but in any situation, the first thing people want to do is find someone to blame it on. I don't think that Walby or Yates or even Bill Holmes has intentionally set out to end this team. There probably are things that could have been done better, isn't hindsite always better? This has been a slow and painful end. Just like Katrina, all the conditions were right for it to cause so much damage, all the conditions were happening for this team to have to make some tough decisions. (I have had my share of things to vent, don't me wrong.) I just don't think there is a single factor for this. Maybe I'm Mary Sunshine but I can't help but think if we had the #1 team, we would still be facing this crossroad. Look at Texas, ended up going for the Kelly Cup knowing it was the end of their team so winning is no guarantee of keeping a team. I'm not "in the know" and I'm not "smarter than anyone" so I don't have any inside info, I'm just a very sad fan that wishes there was a way to fix this but I know reality.
