Here are my thoughts, John, re a Reunion.

I personally do not like the word 'reunion' especially when there is a number like 50 associated with it. That's what my parents and grandparents used to wait for and talk about. They would wait for X years for their 50th and then what.....wait for another 10? Fewer people showed up at every event. My mom wasn't there herself.

We are not Boomers, but we are on the cusp of being Boomers. As a result, we should and can think differently about a lot of things. This year, 2009, should be THE year that we find as many of our classmates as possible. The first 40 are easy compared to the last 37. It will take the rest of this year and maybe a little longer. How about holding a Class Party in the summer of 2010 in Westboro for everyone who has been found and wants to attend? Leigh has already offered her farm for the location. Perhaps we could meet on a Saturday afternoon that continues into the evening. An outside barbeque, low key, lots of one-on-one discussions, adult beveridges, lots of story telling, all very casual and inclusive. We could plan to stay overnight in the area and then take a tour of our schools which could be opened for us on that Sunday morning. Think of all the additional stories to be told once we get back in those buildings..........a great way to end a memorable Class Party that will never have a number associated with it.

Leigh's place sounds great. Seeing it in print on an open forum, inviting all who are interested in attending, makes it an ideal response to the reunion question. You have my full support and I will do my best to be there. I hope we all reach out to all our classmates, and encourage everyone to attend. A perfect solution, IMHO!

The summer get together sounds very good. I would like to attend. I'll be the guy riding a 2008 Victory Vision Weather permitting). I finally acheived my many years dream of riding motorcycles, and have jumped in all the way. In 2008, I joined the Melha Riders, a sub groiup of the Shriners. I also joined the Longriders, a motorcycle club, complete with tattoos and vests, never thought i'd get to do it.
