Subject: Larry's Profile

Larry, I just want to say that I wanted to make your profile spectacular because I always thought you were a spectacular person. I remember when you first blasted onto the scene in Westboro, such an incredibly handsome kid with those sparkly eyes, and always looked so neat and clean, always dressed in beautiful, color-coordinated shirts, sweaters, and pants when everyone else looked so, well, average. I think we all thought you were born with a silver spoon. Little did we know or understand how hard your parents struggled to give you things they felt were important. Nor did we understand the pain you must have felt when you made some wrong turns in your life, and I feel the pain now for how you must have suffered emotionally then.

I have never been a parent, but I find it amazing how parents sacrificed everything so that their children could have a better life than they had. They glow with you in your successes and hurt very deeply in your pains, disappointments, and mistakes.

I am so happy for you that after having all those daughters, you finally have a grandson - a little cutie just like you - that you can build a soap box derby car with and enjoy all the things that you and your dad did together growing up.

No one could be happier than I am that you picked up the pieces time and again and turned your life into one amazing success story! I was your friend from day one and will remain so forever. I love you! Ruth

Thank-you for the kind words and the wonderful job you did putting my profile together. I am sure as more submit their profiles we will discover that there is much we didn't know about each other. I am glad you gave me the opportunity to tell my story with all it's ups and downs and prove that things are not always as they seem. I am looking forward to our class gathering and the chance to renew old friendships and form new ones.
