Subject: DJE is an exceptionallly handsome man and I think roles/characters that need/use this quality/gift of his suit him best, NOT to use it in a gratuitious way, but in a way that build into the strength of the characterization. So, roles like the strong hero, or the romantic lead, the debonair scoundrel, the 'dreamboat' in a romantic comedy. So, it looks like DJE has already recognized what roles he is best suited for because he's done them all! BUT....inside
In reply to: Barbie 's message, "MJ brings up a subject I think would make a good topic of discussion. I have often read of concerns that DJE should be in projects that "do him justice" or that we feel are "worthy of him." But what are they? What projects fit that criteria? Remember that David is the one choosing these roles, so shouldn't we have a little faith in his ability to choose what's best for him?" on 10:54:31 04/26/09 Sun

I would love to see him in a light-hearted comedy about an aging gorgeous rock-star and what his life is like for him now. This would really enable him to explore, stretch, and exhibit his natural touch for comedy AND his guitar-playing. I can just see the many scenes playing out, too, on all the antics he and his 'life' offers up with a world of hormonal groupies who still see him as the 70's rock-'god' he was AND as he, too, sometimes is guilty of still seeing himself. In the end, though (in the show), he has a VERY stable and loving marriage, family, and life which, ironically is more conventional than that of his followers and fans. I think a show like this could really portray some of the madness, irony, misconceptions, and truth about our celebrity-mad culture and poke fun at it in a good way and really be quite endearing, enlightening, and thought-provoking while giving DJE an opportunity to offer up what I think could be a great performance that he would enjoy.
Also, I would like to see him in a character like (sorry -- can't help but make a reference) the male lead in 'The Ghost and Mrs. Muir'. This was one of the most romantic and original movies and TV shows and a childhood favorite!
