Subject: I would love to see David in a remake of a sweeping romantic story with a makle lead part, something like "Gone With the Wind", playing Rhett Butler or "From Here to Eternity" playing the Burt Lancaster role or one of those type movies -- preferably something very very long! LOL!

[> Well I have to disagree about GWTW, mj. There is only one Rhett Butler...Clark GAble. To me its the same as someone else being Harm...It just wouldnt work. Now, From Here to Eternity, I can see DJE in that role, big time.(I'd volunteer for the female lead and not even mind getting sand in my suit.;)) I think DJE is much more suited to roles like Cary Grant or Jimmy Stewart did. Can you imagine him in CG's role in The Philadephia Story?? Or North by Northwest?? YUM!!! -- mkim, 21:50:04 05/28/09 Thu [1]

[> [> Or even Gary Cooper, after all he's another long tall drink of water with drown in me eyes. Sigh! -- mkimMovies like "Meet John Doe" or "For Whom the Bell Tolls" "Ball of Fire' would be a hoot to see!, 22:01:36 05/28/09 Thu [1]

[> [> [> OMG -- I just saw an ORIGINAL Gary Cooper film from his very early days -- it was even dubbed in Italian (it was on very late at night on some obscure channel here) and I think the movie was "A Farewell To Arms" which, if I recall, Rock Hudson starred in a re-make of this film. Anyway -- I thought IMMEDIATELY of DJE as I observed GCs smoldering, but innocent-boy looks. I know what you mean about Clark Gable, but a re-make of GWTW would be so radical as it's the quintessential film that should NEVER be re-done. DJE would be perfect in that role!! He's got the looks, the humour, the intensity and the manliness! LOL! -- mj, 05:15:23 05/29/09 Fri [1]

[> I would love to see DJE in the starring role of a romantic comedy, similar to the roles that Rock Hudson used to play. I think his amazing looks and his great charisma on screen would be ideally suited to this type of film -- Audrey (UK), 16:26:45 05/31/09 Sun [1]

[> [> Okay, so who would you cast opposite him in the Doris Day roles? And let's not mention CB, please? I don't think they need to work together for at least another ten years. LOL! -- nancyeddy, 00:22:21 06/03/09 Wed [1]

[> [> [> How about the actress who played the lead in 'Dharma & Gregg' -- I can't think of her name -- very cute and a tall, blonde and not too too glamouros-- she would be great, IMO. -- mj, 13:51:36 06/03/09 Wed [1]

[> Ahhhhhhh, you mean David would be Rhett Butler on Gone with the Wind????? Funny thing....do you think it would be good character for him like impersonality character with Clark Gable? I don't think so. Ha! Anyway, I don't think he would be so it will be surprise what David is going to do for himself. Don't know what will be his next project in the future as best he can do. -- Liz, 12:04:54 06/08/09 Mon [1]

[> I still think he is destined to be the next James Bond!!! He would be so super rugged AND sexy and with a Scottish accent, man, the world would go up in flames!!!! Only thing , they'd have to change him from 007 to 0010, because he is a PERFECT 10-- NO LESS!!I say DJE IS the next James Bond!! He's older now, more distinguished looking -- he can pull this off BIG TIME!!! -- mj(the movie can be called 'Up in Flames'!!, 09:25:22 06/11/09 Thu [1]
