Why is it even surprising at this point? And more so, why do people continue to support it? The dance form is beautiful and these talented artists and athletes have tainted wins because of the adults all trying to be the biggest fish in the folk dancing puddle. But all of the smaller schools, ethical teachers and families are complicit because it is no secret and has been exposed that it is corrupt. I bowed out. Until families and ethical schools do so or take a stand, it will continue because the powers that be like it that way.
