Subject: LOTD is almost 30 years old. The choreography in LOTD doesn’t reflect the current trends in Irish dancing.

The choreography in LOTD is extremely basic. Even the solos are more flashy than they are intricate. The dancers who make it are the ones who have stage presence, Charisma, and who don’t have a style that stands out from the rest of the line.

Furthermore, the feminine, airy style of many of the top male dancers it’s totally opposite from what they want from the males in LOTD. I’d be howling at some of the current male globe holders trying to look menacing and tough doing Warriors.
