The issue is you cant police teachers offering private lessons, or families choosing to pay a top dance school where teaching is the main income for the TC. The dance school I was a part of lost several families to a more expensive school that gets results. It is the main income for these two TCs rather than a side hustle. I dont know when it changed, but its consumer driven.
We no longer live in a society where the husband is the breadwinner. Both partners are having to work to pay the mortgage (and kids activities)
