that's how they lure you in...if your child has even a modicum of talent, you are suddenly in the midst of a big sell for years to come.

now, if you happen to fall into the lap of cheaters, that may or may not be a good thing, dependent upon your morals- but overall, kids are at risk, both physically and mentally.

Lots and Lots of injuries- i don't see as many walking boots in real sports as i've seen in irish dance- and lots of mental pressure for little value.

better off to get a child into a non competitive studio or another activity altogether.

maybe 50 years ago, this was a sweet activity- now it's just a money spinner for cheating adults (both teachers and the knowing parents that support them)
