We've had a 19% increase in city staff so that is why all your taxes/city services are going up to pay for the change in our fire dept to full-time paid as well as the unfunded federal mandate to have two employees monitor the city sewer. Both of these factors are major expenses that we have to cover.

The water line issues are going to take hopefully less than three years and then they will be working in street repairs as they can and as streets are finished with water/sewer line replacements.

As for rude service or complaints you now have a city manager who can deal with those issues himself so I would suggest anyone who feels they've been treated rudely/unfairly take to Marvin first. If you still get no satisfaction then email or contact your city council, or make a request to appear before council to deal with these issues. Remember the squeaky wheel gets the grease and nothing can be fixed if someone doesn't know something is wrong.

As I said before I am here to represent the citizens and their wishes and am still fighting to stop some of the things our citizens do not want.
